Minerva is mainly the Roman Goddess of wisdom, but she is partially the Goddess of war and tactics. Minerva's symbols are the helmet and armor and animals sacred to her were the owl and the crow. Minerva also created the Olive Tree and the flute. She is also worshipped in many temples, but none are completely dedicated to her that are still standing.
Minerva is the daughter of Jupiter. She is the odd child because she has no mother; she sprang fully grown from the top of Jupiter's head, but unlike her Greek version was not in full battle armor. Minerva is like a more calmed down version of Athena. Minerva's other half siblings are Mars, Vulcan, twins Diana and Apollo, Venus, Mercury, and Bacchus. Minerva is the only one without a mother. She had a child with Vulcan.
Minerva cursed the Goddess Arachne and turned her into a spider. The other Goddess she cursed was Medusa who she changed her hair into snakes and gave her a serpent tail instead of legs.
